Prithvi Highway Blocked For 14 Days Due To Landslide

Dhading. The Prithvi Highway has been blocked for 14 days after the floodwaters coming through Bhote Koshi cut the lower part of the road along the river bank. The highway, considered a major lifeline connecting to Kathmandu, had 100 meters of road collapse in Krishnabhir, Dhading on Bhadra 14, after the Trishuli river cut the road base.

Work is currently underway to open a new track above the collapsed section in Krishnabhir and prepare it for smooth vehicle movement. The work to connect 250 meters of track by cutting the hill has been completed on both sides.
