Myagdi. Beni Municipality has maintained the number of home births at zero for the fourth consecutive year. The number of home births in Beni Municipality has been zero since the fiscal year 2078-79. As giving birth at home poses risks to the lives of mothers and babies and can lead to health problems, the municipality has prioritized safe delivery services. Mayor Surat KC said that the municipality has succeeded in maintaining the number of home births at zero for the fourth consecutive year as a result of efforts to reduce risks from childbirth and improve the health of babies and mothers. He said, "One hundred percent of pregnant women residing in Beni Municipality have received delivery services from skilled health workers at health institutions for the past three years." He added, "We are continuing awareness programs to keep the number of home births at zero." Public health officer Dipesh Poudel said that 344 people received safe delivery services in Beni Municipality in the fiscal year 2082-83. In the fiscal year 2078-79, 847, in 2079-80, 677, in 2080-81, 392, and in 2081-82, 437 people received safe delivery services. Safe delivery services are available at Provincial Hospital Beni, and health posts in Jyamrukot, Vhakimli, Singa, Pulachaur, and Patlekhhet in Beni Municipality, which has ten wards.
