Nepal Seeks Climate Justice and Compensation for Climate Change Damages

The issue of climate diplomacy is currently being debated in Nepal. Nepal has suffered immense damage due to climate change. Although Nepal is not at fault for climate change, it is bearing the brunt of the suffering and losses. Therefore, Nepal has demanded compensation for this damage.

Nepal has also proposed to receive financial assistance from the Loss and Damage Fund established by the United Nations. Furthermore, Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah is traveling to the United States to attend the UN General Assembly. He will also draw the attention of the world community to this issue at the General Assembly.
