Syria Temporarily Increases Fuel and Cooking Gas Prices

Damascus. Syria on Sunday temporarily increased the prices of fuel and cooking gas, citing increased global energy and transportation costs and a decrease in domestic refining capacity.

According to the new price list issued by the Permanent Committee for Pricing Petroleum Products and Mineral Resources, the price of 95-octane gasoline has been increased from 152 Syrian Pounds per liter to 195 Pounds. This is a 28.3 percent increase.
