Large Stones Found Inside Chilime Hydropower Project Tunnel

Kathmandu. Large stones have been found inside the tunnel of the Chilime Hydropower Project. Army spokesperson (Assistant Chief of Staff) Rajaram Basnet told Ratopati that large stones were found while heavy equipment was removing debris from inside the tunnel.

Large equipment has removed debris from 90 meters inside the tunnel entrance. Currently, an excavator and a loader are working inside the tunnel. Army spokesperson Basnet says, 'Excavation work is being done up to the narrowed part of the tunnel by removing large stones from inside the tunnel.'
