Merchant Ship Attacked in Strait of Hormuz, One Dead, Three Injured

Kathmandu. Amidst rising tensions between Iran and the United States over the strategic 'Strait of Hormuz', an attack on a merchant ship in the said region on Sunday resulted in one death and three injuries, Iranian officials said.

According to Amir Temuri, Governor of Qeshm city, the ship was attacked at approximately 5:00 AM local time in the coastal area between Hengam and Qeshm islands.
