BRICS Summit Concludes with Joint Declaration Amidst Member Disagreements

New Delhi. Despite differences among member states on the issues of Iran and the Ukraine war, leaders passed a joint declaration unanimously on the first day of the two-day BRICS summit held in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

The 'New Delhi Declaration', passed on Saturday, called for restraint in the Middle East. However, it did not condemn the US-Israeli attack or Iran's targeting of Gulf countries. It also criticized the global trade war without naming the United States.
