We often consider prevailing beliefs, faiths, and understandings as truth. Society's acceptance of such established notions is deep and impenetrable. However, when turning such established notions into news, journalists sometimes have to question the very beliefs they have held as true. In other words, they have to take the risk of making their own beliefs questionable.
In such a situation, the possibility that what one knows might be wrong or incomplete forces the journalist to reconsider their own beliefs. This is the journey of constructing a news story—from doubting notions to evidence and confirmation. Where I did not just question others' beliefs, but also put my own beliefs on trial.
