Nuwakot Rural Municipality Chairman Veerbal Tamang Arrested for Banking Offense

Kathmandu. Nuwakot's Kispang Rural Municipality Chairman Veerbal Tamang has been found to be absconding in a banking offense case. He was arrested by the police on Monday from within Singhdarbar. The District Police Range, Kathmandu, informed that he has been kept at the Police Circle, Darbar Marg after his arrest.

He was arrested by the police while leaving a discussion called by Prime Minister Balen Shah. On Monday, Prime Minister Shah held discussions with local government representatives from flood-affected areas including Rasuwa. Tamang was also present in that discussion. The chairman of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality in Rasuwa, Buchung Tamang, who was present at the meeting, said that the police arrested and took him away.
