National Assembly Member Thakur Alleges Government Activities Harm National Independence

Kathmandu. National Assembly member Mahanta Thakur has accused the current government of engaging in activities that affect the country's independence. He said this on Tuesday while speaking at a meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the Federal Parliament National Assembly. MP Thakur also claimed that the government was working in a way that benefits foreign countries, making them happy. He commented that the government is working for the benefit of other countries, not the Nepali people. Thakur's understanding is that the country and its people are not the government's priority. During the meeting, he said, 'The state is non-functioning. The people have nothing in their hands, everything is finished. Our independence is being affected because outsiders have captured everything. All work is being done to appease them. We are nowhere in that. We are citizens of this country, and if we had our own government, then work would be done to appease us and for our well-being. This is not our government at all, it is an outsider's government. Outsiders are indeed praising this government.' MP Thakur also mentioned that the country has fallen under the control of foreign countries due to the government's policies.
