Nepal Embassy in Islamabad Celebrates Sagarmatha Day

Kathmandu. The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad celebrated the 73rd International Sagarmatha Day by organizing a program with the slogan 'Sagarmatha, the World's Highest Peak: Nepal's Identity and Pride' on Friday.

The program, which began with a special video message from Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal regarding Sagarmatha Day, was addressed by the Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Rita Dhital, who recalled the historic day of the first successful ascent of Sagarmatha on May 29, 1953, stating that climbing Sagarmatha is the result of extraordinary willpower, endurance, and cooperation.
