Property Investigation Commission Halts All Activities

Kathmandu. The Property Investigation Commission, 2083 has currently suspended all its activities related to the collection and investigation of property details. After the Supreme Court's latest interim order, the commission issued a notice on Thursday informing that all procedures have been halted until further arrangements are made.

Earlier, on Asar 29, the commission had issued a notice stating that it would collect property details of political office bearers and employees holding public accountability positions, excluding former judges, former office bearers of constitutional commissions, and former office bearers of the Nepali Army. However, following the Supreme Court's interim order on Wednesday to halt all work while hearing the writ filed by Maniram Upadhyay, the commission made this new decision.
