Bagmati Province Government Reduces Ministries to Eight, Reallocates Portfolios

Makwanpur. The Bagmati Province Government has made public the new cabinet's work allocation after reducing the number of ministries from 14 to 8. The new work allocation of the Council of Ministers has been approved by Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota in accordance with Article 168(9) of the Constitution of Nepal, at the recommendation of Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniyan.
According to the new structure implemented from Shrawan 1, the province will have the Chief Minister and the Office of the Council of Ministers, along with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Law and Cooperatives, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Ministry of Water Supply, Energy and Irrigation, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forest and Environment, Ministry of Health and Social Development, and Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Labor and Transport.
