Sunsari Administration Intensifies Disaster Response Amid Rising Koshi River Flow

Sunsari. With the increase in water flow in the Saptakoshi River, the Sunsari administration has intensified disaster response preparations. In this regard, a team including Chief District Officer Basudev Ghimire and heads of security agencies conducted an on-site inspection of the Koshi Barrage.

The water flow at the Koshi Barrage has reached 151,195 cusecs per second, and 20 gates of the barrage have been opened. When the water flow in the Koshi reaches 150,000 cusecs per second, a red light is turned on as a high alert signal.
