Devotees Flock to Pashupatinath and Shiva Temples as Shrawan Month Begins

Kathmandu. With the beginning of the month of Shrawan, a crowd of devotees has increased in Pashupatinath and Shiva temples across the country since early morning.

Despite the drizzle on the day of Saune Sankranti, a large number of devotees thronged Pashupatinath temple in the morning, informed Arun Bishet, acting chief of the Culture Department of the Pashupati Area Development Trust. As the month of Shrawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva, many devotees come to Pashupatinath and Shiva temples across the country for puja, worship, and darshan during this month.
