3,296 disaster incidents claim 160 lives in last three months

The country recorded 3,296 incidents of natural disasters in the last three months of the last fiscal year, in which 160 people lost their lives. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, two persons went missing, and 945 people sustained injuries in such incidents that took place from April 14 to July 16. Similarly, 4,375 families were affected during the period. The highest number of incidents of fire took place in three months, which stood at 897, where 17 people died, 109 were injured, and 990 families were affected, added the Authority.
