Rasuwa Floods Cause Major Damage to Hydropower Projects, Hundreds Missing

Kathmandu. Significant damage has been caused to hydropower projects and transmission structures due to the Rasuwa floods. According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, in the preliminary report, about 375 employees and workers are missing or out of contact, and about 15 hydropower projects with a capacity of 430 megawatts have been damaged.

The authority is prioritizing the search and rescue of the missing employees.
