Pokhara Traders Demand Dual-Side Parking

Pokhara. Traders in Pokhara's New Road area have demanded parking on both sides of the road. The traders have made this demand after Pokhara Metropolitan City, in coordination with the police, launched an operation to clear the footpaths. The Metropolitan City has decided to allow parking on only one side of the road. Victims complain that this one-sided parking has caused losses to traders in the other area. Pokhara Metropolitan City has arranged vehicle parking only on the eastern part of New Road. They said this makes it difficult for customers to cross the road to the other side, causing problems for their business. They have put up banners demanding organized parking on both sides of the western part of New Road. राजकुमार रम्तेल, coordinator of the New Road Parking Management Committee, demanded that parking be arranged on both the right and left sides of the road. According to him, traffic police have been impounding vehicles parked on the western part of New Road for the past week and a half. केपी पाध्या शर्मा, operator of Hotel Deep Sagar, also said that business on the western side is in crisis due to parking only on the eastern side. He stated that if parking is not arranged on both sides of the road, they may have to abandon their businesses.
