Kathmandu. Government offices will no longer be able to create new staff positions without the approval of the Prime Minister's Office. A meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Govind Bahadur Karki on Wednesday decided that new staff positions cannot be created without the approval of the Prime Minister's Office.
The 22-point decision signed by Chief Secretary Karki after the meeting states that no office will create new staff positions in the current fiscal year without the approval of the Prime Minister's Office. The meeting decided not to fill temporary positions and not to request the Public Service Commission for permanent positions without the approval of the Prime Minister's Office, according to the statement.
