Prime Minister Balen Shah Announces Abolition of Education Equity Fee, Saving Parents Over 7 Billion Rupees

Kathmandu. With the abolition of the education equity fee, parents will save more than 7 billion rupees. The amount will be saved for parents after Prime Minister Balen Shah announced that the three percent fee mentioned in the budget of the last financial year 2083/84 will not be implemented.

The fourth Nepal Living Standards Survey shows that currently, 3.6331 percent of the country's gross domestic product is spent on schools and educational institutions operated by the private sector up to the secondary level.
