Bagmati Province Ministers Resign

Kathmandu. Ministers from the CPN-UML participating in the Bagmati Province government are going to resign collectively. Today, Wednesday, they are preparing to submit their collective resignation letters to Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniyan. The ministers are going to meet Chief Minister Baniyan at 2 PM and submit their resignation letters. The resignation letters, addressed to Chief Minister Baniyan and written by CPN-UML Bagmati Province Parliamentary Party leader Jagannath Thapaliya, state that the ministers' resignations will be effective from Wednesday. The letter mentions that all ministers participating in the government have jointly resigned with immediate effect, taking into account the decision of the CPN-UML and the current political situation, in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal. It has also been requested to accept the resignation and proceed with the necessary constitutional and legal process. Along with the resignation, the CPN-UML is also preparing to withdraw its support to the government led by Baniyan.
