National Human Rights Commission to Monitor Post-Disaster Human Rights Situation

Kathmandu. The National Human Rights Commission has decided to monitor the human rights situation after the disaster. On August 26, a flood from the Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa caused significant loss of life and property in 15 municipalities in districts including Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Tanahun.
The Commission has stated that it has dispatched two separate teams from its central office and Bagmati Province office to the affected districts to monitor the post-disaster human rights situation. It has also urged everyone to provide assistance, coordination, and humanitarian services in times of disaster.
