11 Districts Affected by Rasuwa Flood, 83 Citizens Missing in Koshi Province

Biratnagar. Due to the flood in Rasuwa, 83 citizens from 11 out of 14 districts of Koshi Province have gone missing. According to the details received until 2:00 PM today, 5 of those who went missing have come into contact, informed DIG Shekhar Khanal, Chief of Koshi Province Police Office. According to him, citizens of Solukhumbu district have been most affected by the flood. Out of 27 citizens from Solukhumbu, 1 has come into contact. Similarly, out of 9 from Okhaldhunga, 1 has come into contact. Khanal said that out of 8 from Ilam, 1 is in contact. Police have stated that out of 8 from Sunsari, 1 is in contact and out of 8 from Udayapur, 1 has come into contact. Likewise, 8 from Khotang, 7 from Morang, 6 from Jhapa, 5 from Taplejung, and 1-1 citizen from Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur are missing. DIG Khanal stated that no details of any citizens missing from Panchthar, Dhankuta, and Tehrathum districts have been received so far. 'A total of 88 people were on the missing list until now, and since 5 have come into contact, efforts are ongoing for the search and rescue of the remaining 83 citizens,' Khanal said.
