Chinese Woman Drives 3km in Reverse to Escape Kerung Landslide

Kathmandu. A Chinese woman, an eyewitness to the terrible landslide and flood near the Kerung border crossing, said she drove her car in reverse for three kilometers to save her life.

The woman, whose surname is Fang, told Chinese local media Xiaoxiang Daily that while coming towards Nepal by car from Tibet on Wednesday, she saw trees and electric poles falling about four kilometers ahead of the border crossing.
