Elderly Man Dies in Landslide in Myagdi; Another Rescued

Myagdi. Lalbir Chhantyal, 70, of Bhakimli, Chinakhet, Beni Municipality-3, Myagdi, died in a landslide. He died while sleeping when his house was buried by a landslide that occurred last night, informed Sagar Timilsina, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Myagdi.

Similarly, Dhan Kumari Thapa, 63, who was buried in a landslide at Hadebhir in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-7, was rescued safely, he said. A police team from the Area Police Office, Darbang, and locals jointly rescued Thapa.
