LP Gas Industry Association Urges Consumers Not to Hoard Cylinders

Chitwan. The Nepal LP Gas Industry Association has urged consumers not to hoard more than necessary. According to the association, although the import and supply of gas are regular, a temporary shortage has occurred because reserve cylinders were filled at once.

According to the president of the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, Diwan Chand, the amount of gas coming from India has not decreased. Compared to the past, about 100 bullets of gas are being supplied daily. He said, "The amount of gas that Nepal Oil Corporation used to bring and we used to supply is still being supplied in the same quantity." According to him, the market shortage has occurred because consumers have started keeping gas in reserve. He stated that if consumers do not stock extra gas, the current problem will be solved.
