World Tiger Day Celebrated, Nepal's Tiger Population Reaches 355

Kathmandu. World Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29. This day has been celebrated since the declaration of the Tiger Summit held in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2010.

The day was established with the objective of stopping the rapid decline in the tiger population and conserving their natural habitat. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment is releasing the latest national tiger census figures today in the presence of Minister Gita Chaudhary.
