Fraudsters Active in Jhapa Using Old Coins

Jhapa. A gang that defrauds by showing old copper or religiously significant coins and luring people with the promise of selling them at an exorbitant price has become active in Jhapa. The District Police Office, Jhapa, has taken three people into custody this week on charges of involvement in the fraud business.
Among those arrested are two Indian citizens and one Nepali. Police have arrested 31-year-old Nazbul Ansari and 24-year-old Sarfaraz Miya, both residents of Kisanganj, India, from the Goldhap area of Haldibari Rural Municipality-1 in Jhapa.
