Security Deployed in Sunsari After Inter-Community Clash

Kathmandu. Additional security forces have been deployed at the site of a clash between two communities in Captainganj, Ward No. 3 of Devangaj Rural Municipality in Sunsari. After stones were pelted between the Hindu and Muslim communities on Tuesday evening, the police have mobilized additional help from nearby districts to the Captainganj area.

As security personnel could not reach the inner parts of Captainganj and other affected areas, a drone was sent from Kathmandu to monitor the security of those places. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung sent the drone available at the Police Headquarters to Sunsari last night itself. Koshi Province Police Office Spokesperson (SSP) Yogendra Singh Thapa told Ratopati that the drone would be used to make security more effective and monitor suspicious activities. He said, 'We have brought a drone from the headquarters.'
