Parliamentary Hearing Committee Chairman Questions Proposed Chief Election Commissioner's Action Plan

Kathmandu. Parliamentary Hearing Committee Chairman Bodhnarayan Shrestha has questioned the action plan of proposed Chief Election Commissioner Man Bahadur Karki, raising various queries about his future strategy and capabilities. Discussing the action plan submitted by proposed Chief Commissioner Karki, Chairman Shrestha posed questions on issues ranging from personal interest to complex legal and managerial aspects of the election system.

Chairman Shrestha questioned Karki's desire to become the Chief Election Commissioner after leaving the post of Registrar of the Supreme Court. Asking a question, he said, 'Why did you want to come to the post of Chief Election Commissioner from the Registrar of the Supreme Court? There is a lot of difference between the working style of the Supreme Court and the Election Commission; have you thought about how to improve your plans while working there?'
