UAE Free Zones and Semi-Government Companies Implement New Rules for Nepali Workers

Kathmandu. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has brought new rules for Nepali workers working in free zones and semi-government companies in Dubai and Northern Emirates. The Nepali Consulate General has stated that a new system has been implemented to further streamline the visa attestation process. According to the latest notice issued by the Consulate General, workers who have had their demand letter attested and are in the recruitment process must obtain institutional visa attestation mandatorily before coming to the UAE.

For free zones and semi-government companies, an offer letter or employment contract has been made mandatory. According to the new system, when applying, the concerned companies will have to submit two copies of the visa attestation letter along with a properly filled application form. Similarly, the Consulate has stated that a copy of the visa with the company's stamp and official signature, a pre-approval letter obtained from the Department of Foreign Employment, and a copy of the approved demand letter must also be submitted.
