UNICEF representative pays courtesy call on Minister Badi

Kathmandu, July 29: A representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to Nepal, Alice Akunga, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security, Sita Badi, at the ministry today.

The meeting dwelt on the issues ranging from the rights of women and children, child protection, social security, ending child marriage, promoting gender equality and strengthening the community-based service system. In addition, they exchanged views on ensuring effectiveness of programmes run by Nepal government and UNICEF and setting priorities for future collaboration.
