Nepali Society Faces Challenges to Social Harmony Amidst Recent Tensions

Kathmandu. Nepali society has been moving forward for centuries with social harmony, coexistence, and mutual brotherhood. However, some recent incidents have raised concerns about whether social harmony is being disturbed somewhere.

Specifically, the rallies organized on the occasion of festivals and the minor disputes that arise during them escalating into violence, and the compulsion to impose curfews and prohibitory orders for control, raise the question of whether Nepal's social harmony is weakening somewhere.
