US Government Halts Funding to WHO via Gavi Alliance

Washington DC. The US President Donald Trump administration has decided to stop US government funds provided through the global vaccine alliance Gavi to the World Health Organization (WHO).

America has announced that it will provide $600 million in funds for Gavi. The US State Department and the Department of Health and Human Services issued a joint statement clarifying that US government funds will not be provided to the WHO through Gavi.
