Government Transfers Four Secretaries, Appoints Acting Chief Secretary

Kathmandu. The government has transferred 4 secretaries. The Council of Ministers meeting held on Wednesday decided to transfer 4 secretaries and give the responsibility of acting chief secretary to 1 joint secretary, Chief Secretary Govinda Karki informed Ratopati.

According to Karki, Chief Statistical Officer of the National Statistics Office, Dr. Kamal Prasad Pokharel, has been transferred as the secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Laxmi Kumari Basnet, secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications, has been sent to Dr. Pokharel's place. Basnet, who reached the Ministry of Communications only last May, has been transferred within 6 months.
