Teacher Kills Wife After Drinking Alcohol in Doti

Dhangadhi. A wife has died after being beaten by a teacher who consumed alcohol in Doti. The police have stated that 51-year-old Chandrabahadur Oli, a resident of Deuthala, Jorayal Rural Municipality-4, beat his 47-year-old wife Amrita Oli on Wednesday afternoon after consuming alcohol. According to Police Inspector Suvarna Chand of the District Police Office, Doti, Amrita Oli sustained serious injuries on the left side of her abdomen from the beating that occurred around 1:40 PM. After being injured, she was taken to Chankatte Health Post for initial treatment. As treatment was not possible there, she was referred to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi for further treatment. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors declared Amrita Oli dead during the examination. After the ward chairman Nandraj Bhatt informed the police about the incident, a police team led by Police Inspector Suvarna Chand from Jorayal Area Police Office reached the scene. Following the wife's death, the police have taken the accused Chandrabahadur Oli under control. Police have stated that he is a teacher at Jagadamba Basic School. The District Police Office, Doti, has stated that further investigation is underway regarding the cause of the incident, the nature of the beating, and other aspects.
