Morang Police Arrest Journalist Accused of Revealing Victim’s Family Identity During Coverage of Sexual Abuse Case

Kathmandu. Morang Police have arrested a journalist for disclosing the identity of a rape survivor’s family through a video report broadcast on Facebook.

According to the District Police Office, Morang, Chandan Kumar Paswan, who is associated with the online media outlet Koshi Aawaj and identifies himself as a journalist, revealed the identities of family members of a girl who was reportedly gang-raped in Sunbarshi Municipality while reporting on the incident.
