Kathmandu. Amidst continuous student protests and intense political pressure in India, a strict bill to prevent 'paper leaks' has been passed by both houses of parliament. The 'Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2024', passed by the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, was also passed by the Rajya Sabha with a majority on Thursday.
Immediately after the bill was passed, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a video message on social media on Thursday night, assuring the countrymen. He pledged that paper leak mafias and gangs would not be spared under any circumstances.
