Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality Chairman Konjo Tenjing Lama Proposes Abolition of Provincial Structure and National Assembly, Reinstatement of Constitutional Monarchy

Pokhara. Konjo Tenjing Lama, chairman of Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality in the trans-Himalayan district of Manang, has demanded the abolition of the provincial structure and the National Assembly. He also suggested establishing a constitutional monarchy in place of the current governance system.

He sent a 17-point written suggestion for constitutional amendment, demanding that the issues of governance, reduction of administrative expenses, and border security be addressed immediately. He also stated that the District Coordination Committee should be completely abolished.
