Ten Climbers Missing After Avalanche on Broad Peak

Kathmandu. Pakistan's Alpine Club has released the names of 10 climbers who went missing after an avalanche on Broad Peak, an 8,047-meter high mountain in Pakistan's Karakoram range. The team includes five Nepalis and climbers from Oman, Pakistan, China, and the United States.

According to the Alpine Club, the climbers in the missing expedition team are Nadhira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthy (Oman), Sohail Sakhi (Pakistan), Wang Zhong (China), Mallorie Geiss (United States), Nirmal Purja (Nepal), Purbahadur Gurung 'Yukta' (Nepal), Kili Pemba Sherpa 'Kilu' (Nepal), Nima Sherpa (Nepal), Nawang Thindu Sherpa (Nepal), and Gylu Sherpa (Nepal).
