10 climbers including five Nepalis feared missing in Pakistan’s Broad Peak avalanche

Kathmandu, July 31: The world-renowned climber Nirmal Purja-led international expedition team of 10 mountaineers is feared missing after an avalanche struck Broad Peak in Pakistan.

The Alpine Club of Pakistan received reports on Thursday that an avalanche had struck the team led by Purja, 43, and there has been no communication from the climbers since, the Associated Press (AP) reported quoting club vice-president, Karrar Haidri.
