Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol Announces Separate Pipe Systems for Drainage and Rainwater in Maitighar Mandala

Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Acting Chief Sunita Dangol has stated that separate pipe systems will be constructed for drainage and rainwater to find a long-term solution to the recurring waterlogging problem in the Maitighar Mandala area during the rainy season.

She mentioned that in most places, drainage and rainwater are currently discharged through the same system, creating a situation where the drainage system cannot bear the load during slightly heavier rainfall.
