Protests Erupt in Sunsari, Siraha Following Incident; Home Minister's Visit Delayed

Raha. The protest that started after the incident in Devanaganj-Kapantaganj of Sunsari on July 10 has had an impact in various districts of Madhesh including Sunsari and Siraha. The demonstration held in Golbazar, Siraha in protest of the same incident turned violent on the fourth day, reaching the stage of vandalism, arson, and gunfire. In the incident, 15-year-old Ganesh Yadav of Tulsiyahi, Aurahi Rural Municipality-2, Siraha, died after being shot.

After the incident, the family was informed that the Home Minister of Nepal Government, Suden Gurung, would arrive at 2 PM on Friday to meet the victim's family. However, the family is disappointed as the Home Minister had not arrived even late at night.
