Kyiv. Russia's intense attack on Ukraine's capital Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones on Saturday morning has killed at least three people and injured dozens. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a five-story residential building was damaged by falling missile debris in the Solomianskyi district. Some people are suspected to be trapped inside the building, and a fire broke out in the courtyard. In another residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district, the first and second floors were partially destroyed, trapping some people there as well. Klitschko stated that warehouses caught fire in the Darnytskyi district of the capital and other areas. Two days prior, Russia's widespread missile and drone attack across Ukraine had killed 10 civilians and injured more than 50. During that time, a Russian missile had entered Poland's airspace. Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again urged the United States and other Western partners to provide more 'Patriot' air defense systems to counter Russia's missile attacks. In a conversation with US Vice President JD Vance on Friday, he said that the meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington this week was positive and fruitful. "Russian air attacks are ongoing. Obtaining interceptors for the 'Patriot' system, especially to stop ballistic missiles, is our top priority," Zelenskyy said via Telegram. At the NATO summit held in Ankara last July, President Trump had indicated that more 'Patriot' systems would be provided to Ukraine. However, at the cabinet meeting held at Camp David on Friday, he stated that a final decision had not yet been made on this matter.
