Professor Khnal: Nepal Lacks Responsibility in Politics, Faces Multiple Crises

Kathmandu. Prof. Krishna Khanal has stated that Nepal lacks the culture of taking responsibility in politics and the country is going through a state of multiple crises. Speaking at an interaction program on the interrelationship between society and politics, he commented that political parties, instead of objectively reviewing the defeats they suffered in elections, tend to evade responsibility by blaming others.

Defining the current state of the country as 'multiple crises', he accused the government of only trying to temporarily suppress problems instead of finding permanent solutions. Citing the agreement with meter-interest victims and the incidents in Devanaganj as examples, he said that the problems have only been slowed down but not addressed. He claimed that the slowing down of problems is not a solution.
