National Vigilance Centre Receives 372 Complaints in Health and Education Sectors

Kathmandu. In one year, the National Vigilance Centre has received 372 complaints related to the health and education sectors. In the fiscal year 2082/83, 192 complaints related to the education sector and 180 complaints related to the health sector were received. Out of the complaints received in the education sector, 103 have been resolved, and 147 complaints from the health sector have been resolved.
Most of the complaints in the health sector are related to the procurement of equipment and not assigning responsibilities to staff according to their positions. Shobhit Rizal, an officer at the center's policy formulation and monitoring branch, stated that the monitoring reports of the received complaints are submitted to the Prime Minister's Office. He said, 'We immediately process complaints received in the health sector. The monitoring report is submitted to the Prime Minister's Office.' It has been found that most complaints are only met with directives and warnings.
