6 Nepali Climbers Including Nirmal Purja Die in Broad Peak Avalanche

Kathmandu. Six Nepali climbers, including courageous climber Nirmal Purja ‘Nims Dai’, have died in an avalanche on Pakistan’s Broad Peak. The six deceased Nepalis include Purja, Purba Bahadur Gurung, Nima Sherpa, Kili Pemba Sherpa, Gyalu Sherpa, and Nawang Thindu Sherpa. Among the 10 members of the climbing team, the other 4 were foreigners. The deaths of the climbers, who had been missing since Thursday, were confirmed on Saturday.
