Kathmandu. Nirmal Purja, who possessed extraordinary courage to conquer the world's tallest mountains, indomitable willpower, and continuously challenged his own limits, is no more among us.

Purja, known in the world mountaineering community as 'Nimsdai', created an unprecedented record in mountaineering history by climbing all 14 of the world's highest mountains above 8,000 meters in 6 months and 6 days in 2019. A former Gurkha soldier, he viewed mountains not just as destinations to climb, but as arenas to test the limits of human courage, discipline, and possibility. His speed, risk-taking ability, responsibility towards his team, and his nature of moving forward even in difficult circumstances deeply influenced a new generation of climbers.
