Sri Lanka Sentences Former Police Chief and Defense Secretary to Death for Easter Bombings

Colombo. Sri Lanka has sentenced a former police chief and a former defense secretary to death for failing to prevent the serial bomb blasts at churches on Easter Sunday in 2019.

279 people were killed and hundreds injured in coordinated bomb blasts targeting churches and other places on Easter Sunday.
