Former Peruvian President Ollanta Humala Released from Jail After Corruption Conviction Overturned

Kathmandu. Former Peruvian President Ollanta Humala has been released from jail. He was released after Peru's Constitutional Court overturned the 15-year prison sentence handed down to him in an international corruption case linked to the Brazilian construction company Odebrecht.

Humala was serving his sentence in a special prison in the eastern part of the capital, Lima. Some former presidents of Peru are also held in that prison.
